Antoine, during one of his missions at a client who was looking to migrate from the world of electric motorsport to the mass production electric automotive & powertrain sector, aimed to establish 'from scratch' all the automotive engineering practices for systems, software, and hardware in compliance with ISO 26262, ASPICE, ISO 21434, and himself adding the MBSE/MBSA & Agile SCRUM methods. After one month of hard work, requests for proposals, searching for tool suppliers, participating in tool demonstrations, and documenting a multi-criteria selection matrix, this evaluation phase led him to choose the SOX tool from the company ENCO, based in Hamburg for the MBSE/MBSA (the ALM TuleAp having been chosen for support of all processes as well as the web-based tools Confluence, SVN, and Sharepoint, and the ToolChain Simulink Stateflow, Simulink Test, Simulink Verification) which did not present the budget constraints that Ansys Medini can unfortunately impose for a small structure like QEV Tech; it does not impose a predefined entire process like Vector Preevision on a proprietary language such as MATLAB/Simulink (which the rich client is extremely heavy to launch, taking more than 3 minutes to become available) and allows starting from a blank slate, which is what we wanted for a hydrogen/electric hybrid powertrain using a universal and non-proprietary language, SysML/UML, which Antoine is quite well-versed in thanks to his experiences at Alcatel Space and Valeo.
